值得注意的是,如果大脑皮层结构和功能完整性无法保证,绿光发挥镇痛的效果也会大打折扣。这也就提示了,除上述脑环路机制之外,其他信号通路可能也发挥了复杂的协调作用,有待于进一步探索。
本研究也存在一定的局限性,比如实验小鼠对绿光的感知效应是否与人类契合,所产生的疗效是否与人类一致;小鼠可长时间暴露于绿光下,但人类的临床应用可能需要再优化。
不过本研究,加深了对光疗镇痛机制的理解和认识,在证实绿光镇痛的真实疗效之外,其潜在机制也为今后的临床开发提供了夯实的理论基础。
由此,研究人员正计划开展一些短时绿光治疗,以此来验证缓解疼痛的效果。相信在不久的将来,绿光疗法会成为安全止痛领域不可或缺的一员悍将!
